Oxboffice, like so many others, booked tickets for the Oxford Folk Festival last weekend and spent an enjoyable day in sunny Oxford with many a Morris Dancer and other folk folk.
We joined up with them in the Holywell Music Room for a concert by the Oxford Concert Party supported by the festival’s very own community choir Rising Voices.
The Holywell Music Room is the oldest custom-built concert hall in Europe and is such a delightful venue. Fairly packed with festival-goers enjoying a wide range of music from around the world introduced hilariously by the Oxford Concert Party with, for one piece, a drunk cellist!
Hats off to the promoters – a big weekend which must’ve taken LOADS of organising. The punters and the musicians all looked like they were having a ball – we know we were!
As ever, we took some snaps on the iPhone: view all photos
